Aaron Ahlquist

Aaron Ahlquist has built his career around driving positive impact for the communities he represents. He began his career serving on the legislative staff of Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN), where he helped manage a range of legislative areas, from Judiciary and Health Care, to Veterans Affairs and International Relations.

After law school, Aaron moved with his family to New Orleans, where he developed an expertise in national mass tort litigation, and worked in a leadership position on litigation surrounding several of the largest environmental disasters in American History - Hurricane Katrina, and the Gulf Oil Spill. In his nearly 15 years practicing law, Aaron helped tens of thousands of individuals, and helped deliver multiple billions in settlement dollars.

In 2017, in the face of rising divisiveness and tension in the U.S., Aaron shifted his efforts away from the practice of law to serve first as a Regional Director, then as a Divisional Policy Director (and ultimately as an interim Vice President) for a major national non-profit organization committed to combating hatred and extremism in society, where he assumed leadership roles and responsibilities and helped drive legislative and strategic policy for the 15 states of his division.

Currently, Aaron still resides with his family in New Orleans, where he enjoys the music and culture of his adopted city.
